Accessible Features
This home has been extensively modified to make it easily
accessible to people with physical disabilities.  The builder used a
universal design approach to these modifications, so most would
not be noticed by people without disabilities. Specific features
include:

  • No steps in or about the property that are greater than3/4
    inch (20 mm)
  • All doors are widened to accommodate wheelchairs
  • Light switches and power sockets are conveniently located to
be equally accessible by people using wheelchairs and those
    who are able bodied
  • The master bathroom has been tastefully designed to allow
wheel chair access in the spacious shower. A special shower
seat has been included along with a fully adjustable shower
that can be set to any height or hand held. All the controls
are at a height suitable for disabled or those who are able
    bodied.
  • The vanity unit in the master bath allows a wheelhair user to
sit right up to the sink and still be able to get their knees
under the work surface and all the taps are lever operated.
  • There is a spacious toilet area that has been designed for
easy access and use. Grab and support handles have been
installed around Bath, Shower and Toilet.
